About Us

ECS Power & Control Ltd.

ECS was founded in 1982 by it's Chairman Trevor Chapman, operating from a purpose-built manufacturing premises known as Environ House. The complex contains in-house facilities for sheet metal construction, control panel fitting and construction, engineering, software design and control panel drawings using the latest AutoCAD software.

Company Profile:

ECS Power & Control Ltd. directly employs over 50 personnel, including technical managers, contract management engineers, electrical design engineers, HVAC control & process system design engineers, software engineers, controls commission/service & maintenance engineers, workshop control panel production, site based electrical installations, and sheet metal construction & special enclosure production.

ECS specialises in the design, manufacture, electrical installation, and maintenance of heating & ventilating, power distribution, water authority, PLC process control systems, and CCTV & security/access systems on local, national and international projects.

Profile of Work Undertaken:

ECS personnel are specially trained to handle various types of projects from conception through to commissioning. The expertise within our company is wide ranging. Our specialist departments can work on individual contracts or join forces to offer complete package systems, including 400V - 6500A power distribution panels, HVAC control systems & control panel design / construction, lighting control systems, PLC process control systems, and CCTV/access systems.

Skills/Knowledge/Expertise:

Training for all ECS personnel is continuously assessed and maintained to the highest possible standards. Our trainee/apprenticeship scheme won the East of England Medium Sized Business, Modern Apprenticeship Award for 2004/5.

All ECS engineers are allocated time each year to attend refresher/update courses to ensure that we keep in front of new products and systems entering our complex marketplace.

Our company has been awarded ISO 9001 Quality Assurance. Certificate No. ISOQAR 2886/01. The quality assurance scheme is continuously maintained/improved to ensure that the products and services provided are to the highest standard.

Company Specifics:

ECS engineers are approachable, technically proficient and adaptable, ensuring that our clients are provided with products/services to meet their exacting needs. Inhouse production facilities can accommodate any bespoke panel type or size. We can replicate panel fascias to within 1/10th of a millimetre using our CAD operated control panel fascia layout and aperture drilling/milling machine. Our directly employed software programmers, panel production, wire persons, electrical installation team & commissioning engineers can meet any requirements demanded.
